Description
Travertine has been used for interior decoration since Roman times. It is a fine-grained rock that has a distinctive color and texture. The stone lends itself well to processing, which allows you to make ready-made elements for decoration, accessories and interior details from it.
Despite the fact that the base of travertine - calcium carbonate - is white, the rock itself is usually painted in shades of beige or brown. The specific color is due to the presence of mineral impurities. The darker the color, the stronger the surface. Browns are almost as strong as marble and are highly durable. Therefore, they are used for finishing indoor floors.
