Sophia Cathedral, or Sophia Kievskaya, is a landmark of the history and architecture of Ukraine, located on Sophia Square in Kiev. Built in 1011-1018 by the Kiev prince Yaroslav. Named after Sofia. It had the status of a cathedral. Intermittently, it was the residence of the Kiev metropolitans (Orthodox and Uniate). By the 13th century it was used as the main church of Russia, the burial place of the great princes of Kiev.

Used material: natural gray-pink Galician sandstone.
